Lumber is an Everyman tool; for building stuff up, building bridges across, or anything else handymen related you’ve got to have your lumber. Almost as a precursor to every young man's experience would lumber, we watched with amazement at the world around us and the sometimes things we don't understand: construction workers climbing up across high beams, older kids being admitted into these creations of lumber and trees as they shoo away all other comers. There is a lot about this world that we don't even understand when we get older. However, we do understand that lumber builds things and building things is good.
If you're looking for some lumber for your next building project you probably don't want to spend very much money doing it. The fact that you're building a project yourself and not hiring someone else do it probably says that you are either on something of a budget or that you have a particular penchant for building yourself. But I've never known a wasteful builder as long as I've known; most builders are thrifty and resourceful and ready to save a few dollars where ever they can. It's for this reason that cheap lumber is on the agenda. One of the easiest places to find cheap lumber is at lumber liquidators. These are like the middlemen between hardware stores and building supply companies; they deal strictly in lumber and they can offer you the best deal on what current number prices. You can even call them wholesale lumber prices. If you have a lumber liquidator in your area, you should certainly check them out. And check them out often, because honestly the season for the lumber liquidator really depends on the season where you live. If there is a house building season, then the lumber liquidator probably has the most to lumber available for you just towards the end of that season. They've probably restocked for the following season and are just sitting on a ton of wood and are ready to offer you a deal. If you live in a warmer climate where people could build a house any time of year, then you're a lot less likely to have a defined off-season for building. However, you can always check will back with the lumber liquidator in your area and see if they do in fact suggest you come back at a better time for a better rates. The thing about wholesaling mode is that you're probably going to get the rate you're going to get any time of year. In wholesaling products, and the products go so quickly that they probably don't have a lot of time to haggle with something like a few pennies.
