A wise friend of mine once told me if you can carry on a conversation on the treadmill, you're not working hard enough. It's with that knowledge they go forward in life trying to be the best person I can be. However, my work on the treadmill is never done. And it seems to me that there is little room for getting things wrong; in this fitness crazed world of ours, it seems ever more important to get things going on the treadmill and take no prisoners in the meanwhile.
Treadmills are a great tool for diet and exercise; they give you a whole, total cardiovascular diet, working many of your major muscle groups. They’re especially poignant if you’ve got the arm parts of the machine working (elliptical, I think) so that you can swing your arms against some resistance. Though there is a great deal to be said about merely swinging your arms to and fro. If you’re looking for the best treadmill for your home or office you should consider the space. If you live in your own home and you’ve got a workout center in the basement or garage and you have the space then putting up a treadmill in an instance like that might seem like a good idea. However, if you’re the middle apartment in a rickety floored apartment building and you live in a studio with three other roommates, then maybe putting up a full unit wouldn’t be the best option for what you’ve got going. However, if you’re shopping around and you’ve considered the space, then why not look for the cheapest option you can land. One of the best places to go for that is right where you live. Often times, when people are leaving a building or neighborhood, they have things they can’t or don’t want to take with them that they’re selling or giving away if you’ll schlep it. For something like a freebie you don’t need to be too particular. However, if you end up looking to buy a used treadmill you should at least look up some treadmill ratings and treadmill reviews before you put down any money. Even the cheapest treadmill may not be worth it if it doesn’t even work. However, most people are a little more upright than that and wouldn’t try to sell you a piece of junk. And most treadmills are pretty well suited to any number of different situations and ready to take on the most demanding user.
