Air soft guns are made for realistic war games among users who want to play a sport that will relieve stress or frustrations within their lives. These guns are plastic replicas of real military type guns. The first safety tip to keep in mind is that these guns are only for air soft war games among users who are serious about safety in their game.
Since they look like real military type guns, they can very easily be mistaken for real guns to a police officer or even to school officials if the gun is taken to school. Be sure that they air soft gun is only used for the air soft game. When not in use, it should be put away in a safe place. Do not allow it to be taken to school or any other place where people could mistake it for the real thing. The air soft guns use pellets similar to the bb. They come out of the gun at a slower speed then the old bb guns, but the bb’s can still cause harm if safety practices aren’t put in place. Always wear protective equipment including air soft eye goggles. Don’t use regular shop goggles as these are not made for this kind of sport. Always use your air soft guns in designated game areas that are guaranteed to be safe to others. Do not play in your backyard where you could actually shoot your neighbor or someone who happens to be walking by. If they’re accidentally hit, you could be held liable for it. Make sure the air soft guns shoot at 400 or less feet per second. The guns that shoot farther than that should only be used by the more experienced player that will only shoot from those distances and not at close range. The air soft guns should not be loaded until you reach the designated safe area for game play. Accidents can easily happen if someone loads it at home and carries it to the safe area. You could accidentally hit the trigger mechanism, causing harm to an innocent bystander. If you insist on loading before you leave, then make sure to carry the air soft gun in a well protective case and don’t take it out of the case until you reach the safe area of play. You can still enjoy a game of air soft war, if you be sure to practice good safety.
